1
Season your roast generously with SPG on all sides.
2
On high heat, sear the roast on all sides until browned, then remove from the pan.
3
(Optional but recommended — if tight on time, skip this and add everything straight to the crockpot)
Add sliced onions to the pan with the roast drippings and sauté for 1–2 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté another minute. Pour in 1 cup of beef broth, then mix in the au jus packet and ranch packet.
4
Add everything to your crock pot: the roast, the onion mixture, ¼ cup pepperoncini juice, pepperoncini peppers, and 1 stick of butter.
5
Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours. Once tender, shred the roast in the crock pot and mix well with the juices.
6
Plate mashed potatoes, top with the Mississippi venison pot roast, and enjoy!
